Pipes Alive! – Nicholas Capozzoli, organist
The 2025-2026 Pipes Alive! series begins with our own organist Nicholas Capozzoli playing the St. John’s organ on Sunday, October 5, at 12:30pm. This event will be presented in person and by livestream.

About the Artist:
Dr. Nicholas Capozzoli arrived at St. John’s as the new director of music in February 2025 and this is his first full season as artistic director of Music at the Red Door. A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Nick is an organist, collaborative artist, and scholar with great distinction and versatility. He is a prizewinner in several national and international organ competitions and has appeared in esteemed venues, festivals, and conferences throughout North America. Nick holds a doctor of music from McGill University as well as degrees in organ and historical performance from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. For the past several years, he has resided in Montreal, Canada, where he serves as director of music at Christ Church Cathedral and director of chapel music at Montreal Diocesan Theological College.
