About the Artists:
Montréal based ensemble C’est Donya invites audiences on an evocative journey through time and culture, blending Baroque music with the intricate beauty of Persian musical heritage. The ensemble features four highly skilled performer-composers: Jessica Korotkin (baroque cello), Alexander Belser (serpent), Amir Amiri (santur), and Saeed Kamjoo (kamancheh). Each member brings extensive expertise and a profound understanding of both the vast Baroque repertoire and the rich heritage of Persian music.

Through years of dedicated study and global performances, they have created a unique intersection between these two genres, offering innovative and vibrant interpretations of late 19th-century Persian repertoire laced between Baroque arrangements. In their pursuit of enriching this shared musical dialogue, the ensemble also integrates original compositions and bespoke arrangements into their performances.
